More French cities with Low Emission Zones in summer 2023

Bordeaux and Clermont Ferrand will implement a ZFE-m (Zone à faibles émissions mobilités).

Air pollution causes more than 40,000 deaths a year. In large cities, the transport sector accounts for more than half of emissions. The orientation laws for mobility (2019) and climate and resilience (2021) have set a framework and obligations for establishing low mobility emission zones (ZFE-m).
